Admission Criteria
Age Requirements:
- For Nursery, the minimum age is 3 years as of 31st March of the academic year.
- For Kindergarten (KG) to Grade 1, children must meet the respective age criteria set by the school.
- For other classes, age appropriateness and availability of seats will be considered.
Academic Qualifications:
- For admissions into classes higher than KG, previous academic performance is considered. Students are required to submit their last school’s report card.
- Admissions for Grades 6 and above may involve an entrance test to assess the student’s proficiency in core subjects.
Student-Parent Interaction:
- All applicants and their parents are required to attend a short interaction session with the school administration. This helps the school assess the student’s readiness and parental support for their education.
Inclusive Policy:
- We welcome applications from all backgrounds, ensuring equal opportunities for boys and girls. Special consideration is given to children with siblings already enrolled in the school.
Admission Procedure
Step 1: Obtain the Application Form:
- The admission form can be obtained from the school office or downloaded from the school’s website.
- The form must be duly filled out, providing all required personal, academic, and medical details.
Step 2: Submission of Documents:
Applicants must submit the following documents along with the completed application form:
- A copy of the birth certificate (for Nursery to Grade 1 admissions).
- Transfer certificate (for admissions from other schools).
- Copies of the previous academic year’s report cards (for Grade 2 and above).
- Passport-sized photographs of the student and parents.
- Proof of residence (for local students).
- Any other relevant certificates or documentation.
Step 3: Entrance Test (For Grade 6 and Above):
- Applicants for Grade 6 and above will be required to appear for a written entrance test that assesses proficiency in Mathematics, English, and Science.
- The date and syllabus for the entrance test will be communicated after the application is submitted.
Step 4: Interaction/Interview:
- Selected candidates and their parents will be invited for an interaction with the Principal or the Admissions Committee to assess compatibility with the school’s ethos and values.
Step 5: Offer of Admission:
- After the evaluation, successful candidates will receive an offer letter along with instructions on completing the admission process.
- The offer letter will also outline the due date for payment of the admission fee.
Step 6: Fee Payment:
- Admission is confirmed upon receipt of the full admission fee. Failure to pay within the stipulated time may result in the forfeiture of the seat.
Fee Structure
The fee structure at Ashelles Public School is competitive and ensures that students receive the best possible education and facilities.
Admission Fee:
- A one-time, non-refundable admission fee is payable at the time of confirmation of the seat. The amount varies according to the class for which admission is sought.
Annual Tuition Fee:
- The tuition fee is charged annually and can be paid in two or three installments, depending on parental preference. The fee varies by grade level.
- Discounts are available for siblings.
Other Fees:
- Development Fee: This is an annual fee used for school infrastructure and development projects.
- Activity Fee: Covers extracurricular activities, sports, arts, and cultural events.
- Examination Fee: A separate fee applicable for students in higher grades to cover the costs of administering examinations.
- Transportation Fee: Applicable for students availing of the school bus service. The cost depends on the distance from the student’s residence to the school.
Uniform and Books:
- The cost of uniforms, books, and other academic materials is borne by the parents and is not included in the tuition fee.
